Pour water in a large saucepan and heat it at medium high flame. Add raw liver once the water comes to a boil and stir it well for 1 min. This process will wash the liver in hot boiling water. Remove liver onto a bowl and leave it aside.
Add oil in a large pan at medium high flame. Once its hot, add raw cumin and potatoes. Mix the potatoes with salt and 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
Fry the potatoes until they are golden brown. Remove potatoes in a bowl and leave it aside.
Add more oil to the pan and add onions. Saute onions until translucent, add garlic, ginger, red chili powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Mix all ingredients together and saute for couple mins at medium high heat. Add water as required during sauteing. Add liver and salt to taste. Stir and mix the liver with all spices well. Add water as required and cook for 10 mins under closed lid, stirring occasionally in between.
Add fried potatoes and cook again for another 10 minutes. You'll see the water reduced and meat cooked with oil surfacing to the top. Add roasted cumin powder and garnish with green chili.
Remove from heat and serve hot! Enjoy!
