This is a perfect dish to create when you have nothing on hand but a case of eggs in your fridge.

Ingredients

  1. Boil eggs for 10 minutes then transfer to a bowl of ice water.
  2. Soak poppy seeds in water for 15 minutes then drain out the excess water and wash with water.
  3. Blend the soaked poppy seeds with onion, green chilies, and salt
  4. Set aside the poppy seed puree.
  5. Stir fry the boiled eggs for 2-3 minutes in a pan with mustard oil, red chili, turmeric, and salt.
  6. Keep the fried egg aside.
  7. Mix the poppy seed puree with mustard oil, red chili, turmeric, and salt to taste in a pot .
  8. Gradually mix in water.
  9. You may add sugar as an option for a hint of sweetness.
  10. Place the fried boiled eggs into the pot and cover with a lid.
  11. Steam for 12-14 minutes.
  12. Serve with steamed rice.
  13. Ready to enjoy!

  11. Steam for 12-14 minutes.
  12. Serve with steamed rice.
